Feb. 12, 1998--Mitel Corp. (NYSE:MLT, TSE:MLT, LSE:MLT.L) (Mitel) announced today that it has acquired all the shares in Plessey Semiconductors Limited and certain related entities (Plessey) from The General Electric Company, p.l.c. (GEC) (LSE:GNELY) for US $225 million in cash.
